Jock Safari Lodge

This award-winning lodge borders Kruger National Park at the confluence of the Mitomeni and Biyamiti Rivers. It offers private Big Five safari tours, and has a sauna and hydrotherapy spa.

The secluded thatched suites at Jock Main Lodge have private plunge pools and luxury bathrooms. The elegant furnishings blend colonial-era antiques with Zulu and Shangaan artworks.

Staying at Fitzpatrick's at Jock is like having your very own bush lodge. Overlooking the river, this elegant accommodation has 3 suites, and includes the personal services of a chef, waitress and ranger.

Jock Safari Lodge occupies a 6000-hectare bushveld site, filled with diverse wildlife. Within short walking distance are some of the oldest Bushmen rock artworks in Africa, approximately 3000 years old.

It is approximately 35 km to the Skukuza airstrip and 150 km to the Kruger Airport in Nelspruit. Wi-Fi is free in public areas, and free on-site car parking is available.

NOTE BEFORE BOOKING:

We recommend a minimum stay of two nights throughout the year. A minimum 2 night stay restriction is applicable over the Seasonal Peak Season period.

Please note that all adults 18 years and older are required to produce a valid passport or South African Identity Document upon entry to the KNP. A once-off fee is payable in cash upon entering the Kruger National Park. Please ensure to have your accommodation confirmation at hand to ensure entry at the correct price. This fee is subject to change without prior notice and can therefore be obtained upon request from your Safari Expert.

CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT:

Check-in time is between 12h00 - 17h00
Check out time is by 12h00
Requests for early arrival or late check out must be made directly with the Hotel
Every effort will be made to accommodate the request however the Hotel reserves the right to levy an additional charge to accommodate different check-in /out times.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

All changes to the original booking must be received in writing via email
The member has the right to cancel a booking but the following penalties will apply:

Between 47 and 31 days prior to the arrival date, the member will be charged 50% of the portion of the cancelled booking value should the booking be cancelled;
Between 30 and 0 days prior to the arrival date, the member will be charged 100% of the portion of the cancelled booking value should the booking be cancelled;
No shows will be charged for in full.

PEAK SEASON:

Between 90 days prior to the arrival date, the member will be charged 100% of the portion of the cancelled booking value should the booking be cancelled;

PREPAYMENT:

You'll be charged a prepayment of 50% of the total price after reservation
A total of 100% is required 70 days before arrival of booking, but 100% payment is required 90 days before arrival of booking in Peak Season.
100% prepayment for all 1 night stays

CHILDREN & BEDS:

Children of any age are welcome.

Persons under the age of 12 years are not permitted on any walking safaris.

Children staying at Fitzpatrick’s at Jock:

Children from 0 up to and including 5 years are permitted at Fitzpatrick’s at Jock ONLY.
Additional beds can accommodate a maximum of one child each OR two children per bunk bed (11 years or younger)
Cots can accommodate a maximum of one child per cot.
Complimentary child minding is offered during game drive hours, additional child minding can be secured at an additional cost outside of these times.

Additional children from 0 up to and including 5 years old:

are accommodated on a complimentary basis when sharing a room with adults – dependent on the availability of cots and/or additional bed.
are permitted on game drives conducted within the Jock Safari Lodge Concession

Additional children from 6 up to and including 11 years old:

are accommodated at 50% of the adult sharing rate when sharing a room with adults – dependent on the availability of rooms with an additional bed.
are permitted on game drives.

Children staying at Main Jock:
Main Jock accommodate families with children from 6 years and older on the following basis:

Applicable adult rate(s) will apply to children of all ages.
A private vehicle is reserved for sole use of the family, the daily surcharge of R 9, 750.00 per day for private vehicle use
Additional beds can accommodate a maximum of one child each OR two children per bunk bed (11 years or younger)

Persons 12 years and older are considered adults.

All cots and extra beds are subject to availability.

NOTE: Name change on the booking can be done for an additional R500 should the member not travel with.

Do I need the whole amount available in my wallet

You do not need to have the whole amount available in your travel wallet. Any outstanding amount may be settled by EFT

Can I pay cash upfront?

Yes, you can pay cash upfront. Even if you have the full, or partial amount in your travel wallet, if you choose to you may pay for your trip entirely with case, sent to us by EFT

Can I get a refund if I can't make my trip?

Yes, a full or partial refund may be applicable to you if you are no longer able to make your trip. An important note: Whether you can be refunded, and how much you can be refunded, depends on the terms and conditions of the travel package and accommodation where you have booked.

Does the total include flights and visas?

No. Flights and other travel items are arranges separately from your travel package and will therefore be at an additional cost, unless otherwise stated in the package you have chosen.
