Maliba Lodge is the first and only 5-star luxury Lesotho accommodation in Southern Africa. It is located in the pristine Tsehlanyane National Park, in the heart of Lesotho and is known as the Mountain Kingdom. Maliba Lodge is a mere 4.5 hours drive from Johannesburg International Airport and in that short space you are transported to another world.

Our award winning lodge has a spa, Bana Kids Club, 5-star gourmet restaurant, Bistro and amazing staff that cater to your every need. It is an exclusive lounge and dining room for Mountain Lodge guests with private decks.It has large well stocked bar and general lounge and restaurant area with quality Furniture and fixtures and artwork depicting Basotho Life. 

It also includes outdoor viewing deck and dining courtyard with several outdoor Boma areas

TO NOTE WHEN BOOKING:

  • The Mountain Lodge and Riverside huts are only breakfast included. The River Lodge has no meals included therefore, a self-catering unit.
  • River Lodge - Minimum of 2 guests, maximum of 8 guests per Lodge,
  • Minimum stay of two nights between April/March and June/July holidays. Minimum 2 night stay when a Saturday is included in a booking or over South African weekends extended by a public holiday.

      • Base rate upto 4 guests: R2508
      • Per Additional Adult: R539
    • OFF PEAK
      • Base rate upto 4 guests: R1619
      • Per Additional Adult: R412

WHAT'S INCLUDED:

  • A full breakfast

CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT:

  • Check-in time is between 14h00 - 18h00
  • Check out time is by 10h00
  • Requests for early arrival or late check out must be made directly with the Hotel
  • Every effort will be made to accommodate the request however the Hotel reserves the right to levy an additional charge to accommodate different check-in /out times.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

All changes to the original booking must be received in writing via email
The member has the right to cancel a booking but the following penalties will apply:
  • Between 47 and 31 days prior to the arrival date, the member will be charged 50% of the portion of the cancelled booking value should the booking be cancelled;
  • Between 30 and 0 days prior to the arrival date, the member will be charged 100% of the portion of the cancelled booking value should the booking be cancelled;
  • No shows will be charged for in full.

PEAK SEASON:
  • Between 90 days prior to the arrival date, the member will be charged 100% of the portion of the cancelled booking value should the booking be cancelled;

PREPAYMENT:

  • You'll be charged a prepayment of 50% of the total price after reservation
  • A total of 100% is required 30 days before arrival of booking, but 100% payment is required 90 days before arrival of booking in Peak Season.
  • 100% prepayment for all 1 night stays

CHILDREN & BEDS:

Children are welcome.

Children 5-12 years of age are charged a fee per night. Children 4 years of age or under stay free of charge, limited to 2 children per couple. Children from 5-12 years are charged at ZAR 539 in Peak and ZAR 412 in Off peak.

Limits of 2 children are allowed to stay if sharing in parent’s room. Extra Adults. A maximum of one extra adult can be accommodated in a twin or double room.

This property doesn't offer extra beds.

NOTE: Name change on the booking can be done for an additional R500 should the member not travel with.

Do I need the whole amount available in my wallet

You do not need to have the whole amount available in your travel wallet. Any outstanding amount may be settled by EFT

Can I pay cash upfront?

Yes, you can pay cash upfront. Even if you have the full, or partial amount in your travel wallet, if you choose to you may pay for your trip entirely with case, sent to us by EFT

Can I get a refund if I can't make my trip?

Yes, a full or partial refund may be applicable to you if you are no longer able to make your trip. An important note: Whether you can be refunded, and how much you can be refunded, depends on the terms and conditions of the travel package and accommodation where you have booked.

Does the total include flights and visas?

No. Flights and other travel items are arranges separately from your travel package and will therefore be at an additional cost, unless otherwise stated in the package you have chosen.
