Fun Fact Highlights:
· Jacaranda City: Pretoria is famously known as the "Jacaranda City" because of the thousands of jacaranda trees that line its streets. During spring (around October), the city transforms into a purple paradise when the trees bloom.
· Capital with History: Pretoria is one of South Africa's three capital cities and serves as the administrative capital. It's home to the Union Buildings, where important government functions take place—and where Nelson Mandela was inaugurated as South Africa’s first democratically elected president in 1994.

You will be able to contact Asambeni should you require assistance while on your trip. This is to ensure that you have a great Getaway while in Emerald Resort. One of the Asambeni Getaway Gateway member will share their contact details for you to contact them should there be any issues.
Transportation
Flights are not included in the trip. Should you need to book a flight, you would have to book to land at the O.R Tambo or Lanseria Airport or you can contact Asambeni Getaway to assist you with getting one of the best flight prices to O.R Tambo or Lanseria Airport. We highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance for any trip.
NOTE: There will be no transfers between the airport and hotel, that can be arranged for you on request.

Itinerary
Day 1
- Check into the hotel at any time after 2 p.m.
- 2-5 p.m.: Visit the welcome table in the lobby.
- 6:30 p.m.: The rest of the evening at your leisure. Dinner is at your own expense.
Day 2
- 7-10 a.m.: Breakfast in the main dining room.
- 1-3pm: Cruise Lunch (Sundays & Public Holidays Only) – Optional

Hotel Details
Situated in Pretoria, 4.4 km from Pretoria Country Club, The Emerald features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a shared lounge and barbecue facilities.
The property is around 9.1 km from University of Pretoria, 11 km from Union Buildings and 11 km from Irene Country Club. The capsule hotel also offers free WiFi as well as a paid airport shuttle service. At the capsule hotel, the rooms have a desk, a flat-screen TV, a private bathroom, bed linen and towels. All rooms will provide guests with a wardrobe and a kettle.
Rietvlei Nature Reserve is 12 km from The Emerald, while Voortrekker Monument is 12 km from the property.

CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT:
- Check-in time is from 14h00
- Check out time is by 10h00
- Requests for early arrival or late check out must be made directly with the Hotel
- Every effort will be made to accommodate the request however the Hotel reserves the right to levy an additional charge to accommodate different check-in /out times.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
- All changes to the original booking must be received in writing via email
- The member has the right to cancel a booking but the following penalties will apply:
- Bookings cancelled are subject to a 20% cancellation fee on the booking value of the entire stay if cancelled within 32+ days prior to the arrival date.
- Bookings cancelled are subject to a 100% cancellation fee on the booking value of the entire stay if cancelled within 0-31 days prior to the arrival date.
- No Shows and Early Departures are subject to a 100% cancellation fee.
PREPAYMENT:
- You'll be charged a prepayment of 65% of the total price after reservation
- A total of 100% is required 30 days before arrival of booking
- 100% prepayment for all 1 night stays
CHILDREN & BEDS:
Children of any age are welcome.

Cot and extra bed policies
Cots and extra beds are not available at this property.
Name Change Policy: Name changes are subject to a R500 name change fee.
In the unfortunate event that an activity or excursion is no longer available, we will substitute a similar activity of equal or greater value.

You do not need to have the whole amount available in your travel wallet. Any outstanding amount may be settled by EFT

Yes, you can pay cash upfront. Even if you have the full, or partial amount in your travel wallet, if you choose to you may pay for your trip entirely with case, sent to us by EFT
Can I get a refund if I can't make my trip?
Yes, a full or partial refund may be applicable to you if you are no longer able to make your trip. An important note: Whether you can be refunded, and how much you can be refunded, depends on the terms and conditions of the travel package and accommodation where you have booked.
Does the total include flights and visas?
No. Flights and other travel items are arranges separately from your travel package and will therefore be at an additional cost, unless otherwise stated in the package you have chosen.
