Saint Lucia Estuary is renowned for its wildlife, including hippos, crocodiles, and birds. Relax onboard with hot drinks and snacks, admire the views, and look out for herons, crakes, and hippopotamus along the way.

Transportation
Flights are not included in the trip. Should you need to book a flight, you would have to book to land at the King Shaka International Airport or you can contact Asambeni Getaway to assist you with getting one of the best flight prices to KZN. We highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance for any trip.
NOTE: There will be no transfers between the airport and hotel, that can be arranged for you on request.

Located on the shores of the St Lucia Estuary within the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, Elephant Lake Hotel features a bar leading out onto a viewing deck, where hippos can be spotted.
The hotel has 2 levels and each air-conditioned room comes either with balcony or a patio and offers views of the St Lucia Estuary. The rooms are fitted with a safety deposit box, tea-and-coffee making facilities, satellite TV and en-suite bathroom with shower and complimentary toiletries.
Other facilities at Elephant Lake Hotel include an outdoor pool, a 24-hour front desk and a shared lounge. Free parking and WiFi is available.
Guests can book various activities via the in-house safari company, Go Safaris, including hippo and crocodile tours on the St Lucia Estuary, and safaris into both the iSimangaliso Wetland Park and the Big 5 Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Game Reserve. King Shaka International Airport is 211 km away.

- Requests for early arrival or late check out must be made directly with the Hotel
- Every effort will be made to accommodate the request however the Hotel reserves the right to levy an additional charge to accommodate different check-in /out times.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
- All changes to the original booking must be received in writing via email
- Between 47 and 31 days prior to the arrival date, the member will be charged 50% of the portion of the cancelled booking value should the booking be cancelled;
- Between 30 and 14 days prior to the arrival date, the member will be charged 100% of the portion of the cancelled booking value should the booking be cancelled;
- No shows will be charged for in full.
PREPAYMENT:
- You'll be charged a prepayment of 50% of the total price after reservation
- A total of 100% is required 14 days before arrival of booking
- 100% prepayment for all 1 night stays
CHILDREN & BEDS:
Children of any age are welcome.
Children aged 13 years and above are considered adults at this property.

Cot and extra bed policies
- 0 - 2 years olds are FREE
- 3 - 12 years are ZAR 495 per child, per night
Supplements are not calculated automatically in the total costs and will have to be paid for separately during your stay.
The maximum number of extra beds and cots allowed is dependent on the room you choose.
All cots and extra beds are subject to availability.
Name Change Policy: Name changes are subject to a R500 name change fee.
In the unfortunate event that an activity or excursion is no longer available, we will substitute a similar activity of equal or greater value.

Yes, a full or partial refund may be applicable to you if you are no longer able to make your trip. An important note: Whether you can be refunded, and how much you can be refunded, depends on the terms and conditions of the travel package and accommodation where you have booked.
Does the total include flights and visas?
No. Flights and other travel items are arranges separately from your travel package and will therefore be at an additional cost, unless otherwise stated in the package you have chosen.
